About OmniTrackr

Your personal media tracking companion

What Is OmniTrackr?

OmniTrackr is a free web application that helps you track, rate, and organize everything you watch, play, and read. Instead of juggling spreadsheets or forgetting what you've seen, you keep one central place for your movies, TV shows, anime, video games, music, and books.

Whether you want to remember what to watch next, compare your tastes with friends, or simply see your viewing and reading stats over time, OmniTrackr gives you the tools without locking you into a single platform or device.

What You Can Track

OmniTrackr supports six media categories, each with fields tailored to that type:

  • Movies — Title, director, year, rating, watched status, and reviews
  • TV Shows — Series title, seasons, episodes, rating, and progress
  • Anime — Title, seasons, episodes, rating, and watch status
  • Video Games — Title, release date, genres, rating, and played status
  • Music — Albums, artists, and your ratings
  • Books — Titles, authors, and reading progress

Posters and cover art are fetched automatically where possible (e.g. via OMDB, Jikan, RAWG, iTunes, Open Library), so your collection looks clear and recognizable at a glance.

Key Features

  • Ratings and reviews — Rate items and write detailed reviews; you can choose to make reviews public for others to read.
  • Statistics dashboard — See totals, averages, and breakdowns by category and over time.
  • Friends and privacy — Add friends and control what they can see (per category and per tab).
  • Export and import — Export your data as JSON and import it elsewhere so you stay in control.
  • Custom tabs — Create extra tabs for anything that doesn't fit the default categories.

Why Track Your Media?

Tracking what you watch, play, and read helps you remember what you loved, avoid repeats, and discover patterns in your tastes. It also makes it easier to get recommendations from friends and to share your own picks. OmniTrackr is built for people who take their media habits seriously but don't want to depend on a single streaming service or app store to remember for them.

Who OmniTrackr Is For

OmniTrackr is for anyone who wants a single, flexible place to track multiple types of media. It suits casual viewers who want a simple watchlist, serious collectors who care about stats and reviews, and groups of friends who like to compare lists and recommendations. Because it runs in the browser and supports export, it works across devices and keeps your data portable.
